Who is the sproof Ident Demo Portal for?
The sproof Ident Demo Portal is aimed at companies and organizations with high requirements for digital identity verification, KYC, compliance and secure online onboarding processes.
Particularly relevant for:
- Banks & financial service providers (KYC, AML, digital banking, account opening)
- Insurance (digital customer identification, contract conclusion)
- Energy suppliers & telecommunications (digital registration, customer portals)
- Real estate companies & PropTechs (digital rental agreement processes, identity verification)

- Public institutions & authorities (EUDI Wallet, eGovernment, digital official channels)
- HR & recruiting platforms (employee identification, digital signature)
- Mobility, travel & sharing platforms (digital driver’s license and identity verification)
- Healthcare & eHealth providers (secure patient identification)
- Universities & educational institutions (digital student identification)
The portal is particularly suitable for companies that:
- digital identification in Europe,
- eIDAS 2.0 and EUDI wallet use cases,
- national eIDs such as ID Austria,
- want to improve conversion rates in digital onboarding,
- are looking for secure and GDPR-compliant identity solutions.
Which identification methods can be tested?
The portal supports various procedures such as:
- EUDI Wallet
- National eIDs (e.g. ID Austria)
- Auto-Ident
- Video-Ident
- Biometric verification
- eIDAS-compliant signature processes
How can authorizations that have already been granted be managed or revoked?
Every EUDI wallet must contain a dashboard in which users have an overview of all active “connections”. They can see at any time which platform had access to which data and authorizations can be revoked with a single click.
Do I have to trust the platform or does the wallet offer a technical guarantee?
The wallet offers a mathematical guarantee. Zero-knowledge proofs, for example, only transmit the proof “user:in is >18”. The underlying data (the date of birth) does not even leave the cell phone. The platform is not technically able to “grab” more data than has been released.
Is there a standardization for the user interface (UI) of the data release?
Yes, the ARF defines so-called Consent Screens. These must be displayed to the user: Who is making the request? Which data fields are requested? And for what purpose? The user must explicitly authorize each release.
What direct ROI does wallet integration offer companies?
The wallet enables companies to massively reduce their onboarding abandonment rates, as users no longer have to fill out forms or photograph ID cards. In addition, data quality increases to almost 100% as transmission errors are eliminated.
How does the online PIN reset solve the acceptance problem in Germany?
Until now, resetting a forgotten eID PIN often required a physical visit to the authorities or the sending of a letter. The fact that this will be possible online in future removes the biggest barrier to use in Germany. It will make the eID “smartphone-ready” and ensure that users do not fail due to a forgotten PIN during wallet onboarding.
What alternative methods for creating the PID are planned in order to lower the barrier to entry?
In Austria, the ID Austria is already widely used by linking it to the cell phone signature
. In Germany, where the use of the online ID function (eID)
can still be expanded, there are discussions about enabling onboarding to the wallet via
certified identification procedures (e.g. on-site identification at banks or post offices) at
in order to initially load the PID into the wallet.

Why should companies rely on European tools?
Tools and platforms from Europe have long since matched the power of US tools.
It is time for European companies to support Europe as a business location.
US tools can never guarantee the secure storage of sensitive data. The surveillance laws of the USA contradict the fundamental rights of the EU. sproof sign is headquartered in Austria and specializes in the highest level of data protection. Learn more – >
