Which problem does DocLindenthal solve and which patients benefit the most?
DocLindenthal offers patients sound medical support in the field of medical cannabis therapy. My focus is on holistic medical care, in which medicinal cannabis can be a useful addition - always based on an individual medical assessment and therapy planning. Personal contact with the doctor is central to this: every therapy begins with a direct medical consultation in which suitability is carefully assessed. I offer face-to-face consultations, supplemented by video consultations if medically appropriate and possible. Patients benefit from clear, structured support - from the initial consultation to the continuous adjustment of the therapy. The therapy is particularly suitable for patients with chronic pain, neurological conditions or sleep disorders who require stable and reliable treatment under medical supervision. The combination of personal medical care and digital support enables flexible and responsible therapy.
Why did you decide to integrate a digital signature into your platform? Were there specific challenges that you wanted to solve with it?
Digital signatures for medical prescriptions must not only be legally compliant, but also fast and efficient. In the past, manual workflows were often time-consuming and associated with media disruptions - printing out a document, signing it, scanning it and forwarding it digitally was simply no longer up to date. A digital signature ensures a seamless, paperless and legally compliant solution that offers both me as a doctor and the patient maximum convenience.
What criteria were particularly important to you when choosing an e-signature provider? Were there any exclusion criteria?
Above all, it was important to me:
- Highest security standards for the signature process (qualified electronic signature, QES).
- Legal conformity with German and EU regulations (eIDAS, GDPR, etc.).
- Simple integration into my existing processes without unnecessary technical hurdles.
- Speed - the signature process must be efficient.
- Good support - if there are any questions or problems, a quick solution must be possible.
Exclusion criteria were providers with insecure or inflexible solutions, complicated onboarding or poor user experiences.
For which specific use cases do you use the digital signature? How often is it used in your everyday life?
The main use case is the digital signature of medical prescriptions for medicinal cannabis. Since my patients regularly need prescriptions, the digital signature is used almost daily. Thanks to the digital solution, I can sign prescriptions with a qualified signature within seconds and forward them directly without interrupting the process.
Do you use signature workflows? If so, what do they typically look like?
Yes, the workflow is clearly structured:
The patient books a follow-up consultation. After checking the suitability of the therapy, I create the prescription. The document is signed using the digital signature solution. The patient receives the prescription either as a PDF or it is sent directly to a partner pharmacy.
This workflow is fast, secure and without unnecessary detours.
Are there any other functions of sproof sign that are particularly helpful to you?
Yes, the batch signature is particularly practical. This allows me to sign several prescriptions in one process, which saves a huge amount of time. Cloud storage also makes it easier to access documents that have already been signed.
How did the integration of sproof sign into the practice software and the online system go?
Very straightforward. The setup was done quickly and the solution integrated seamlessly into my existing workflow. I didn't have to make any complicated technical adjustments, but was able to get started straight away.
How much has the signature process been accelerated by the integration of sproof sign? Do you have concrete figures or experience?
Previously, the manual signature, including printing, signing and scanning, took several minutes per prescription. Now the entire process is completed in just a few seconds. This adds up to enormous time savings, especially with a high volume of prescriptions.
What are DocLindenthal's requirements in terms of security, data protection and compliance - and how are these ensured?
As medical prescriptions are issued, the highest security standards are essential. Important requirements:
- Qualified electronic signature (QES) for legally valid prescriptions
- GDPR and eIDAS compliance
- End-to-end encryption for maximum data security
- Server location in the EU
With sproof sign, I can ensure that all these requirements are met.
What do you particularly like about sproof sign - whether in terms of functionality, user-friendliness or service?
The best thing about sproof sign is how quick and easy it is to use. I don't have to deal with complicated processes, but can concentrate on my actual work as a doctor. I also like the good support if I do have any questions.
